Default Stock speakers

ok....so i just got a Scion tc. i used to have pioneer in my old car. Then i found out that Scion comes with a decent system. well my question is, what are the size of the speakers and if they r pioneer too? do anyone recommend to put an amp in for the speakers?
I have more questions about different parts of the car but this is a start

I would appreciate your help.

iirc, they're 6.5" front and 5.25" rear. Seem to be decent speakers as far as stock systems go. Adding an amp would be fine, but I don't think it's worth the effort or cost unless you're going to go with kick panel mounting or other location for improved sound quality. You'd be much better off adding a subwoofer first, imo.

And you might also want to try the searching, as these questions have already been asked and answered several times.

Throw in an amp and new speakers, its worth it! I just got my whole setup (not yet installed), but I heard the exact same setup on a different tC. You can put 6.5" in both the front and the back, but you need to buy an adapter plate. Some people leave out the rear speakers - not me

i swapped out the stock headunit and it made a world of a difference (still with stock speakers). i would keep the speakers and add a new headunit or sub. idk, thats just me tho.

i fully agree. in a lot (not all of course) of cases, the head unit will make the biggest right-after-installation difference when dealing with a stock audio system. i also agree that the tC has a pretty decent factory pioneer setup, although there is room for improvement (when is there not? lol) if i ever mod the factory setup, it will either be just adding a sub to it or maybe if im feeling rich replacing the head unit as well.

oh and btw, i heard somewhere (from an official scion document / website part / somewhere credible) that the speakers are, in fact, pioneer. whether or not that means much is the question. i'm sure theyre not as good as aftermarket pioneer speakers.

I replaced both the HU & the factory front speakers....

There is NO substitute for an aftermarket setup.
