Default Sub and Ipod

I just got a Black 06 Sci tC last week and have a few question. I have a twelve, box and all, but it seems like it would be impossible to mount... any suggestions? And how the hell am I supposed to hook up and play my ipod? I've bought wires and the cig plug ins and nothing has seemed to work... I think the guy at Best Buy is an idiot... THANKS!

first you gotta wire up your amp to the car..then sub to the amp. are you using the fm transmitter for your ipod? i thought the 06 tc's have an aux input for them in the compartment under the armrest.

I just don't know how to mount it... I could screw the box to the floor of the trunk but the spare tire is below there and there is no way to really mount it strongly... they do have the aux but the moron at Best Buy gave me one and I plugged it from my ipod to the aux input from the cig lighter output to the aux input from the cig lighter output to the ipod, I tried everything and it didn't ____ing work...

unless it's a custom fiberglass box, you dont really need to mount it. got a pic of the kind of box you have? go return all the stuff the best buy guy gave you. all you would need is one wire to connect your ipod to the aux input. cig lighter stuff is not needed and sound quality sucks.

Try using velcro strips underneath the box.

You might want to try some smaller text... Us peopleat work try to be conspicuous about being on SL all day

Anyhow... You did press the AUX button on the reciever I assume? It should be simple... make sure all the cords are pushed fully in. Then just play. Maybe the iPod volume is down? hmmm, I'd help if I could Good luck.

well if it's like the generic boxes, you really dont need to mount it because the base is wide enough to be planted on ur car. i never mounted mine and it never even budged.

but for the ipod, like mitch said, make sure it's all fully plugged in and press the aux button on ur HU and be sure to crank the volume on the ipod to the max. use the volume controls on the HU to control the volume after you've set volume on ipod to its highest.

I think I'm out of ideas... Wish I could see it to help... I don't actually have an iPod, but use the mp3 player on my cell phone 24/7 w/o problems. Maybe you're right, the guy at Best Buy is just an idiot.

Dang! My life sucks! I'm going to MacMedia tonight... maybe they can help. I even called the dealer I bought it from and they said they don't sell the cables! Great! You sell the car but not the parts? Lol

Lol I finally called mac and they "think" (just like everyone else I've dealt with) that they have what I need... then I have to go return all this junk I bought at Walmart and Best Buy... oh geez lol
