I got some subs laying around, and thought mind as well use one.

Which one out of these 3 should I pick? Which one sounds better?

(I'm going to use the stock radio, my dad said I'd have to hook the subs up to the rear speakers...)

A 12in Sony Explode
A 12in Punch
2 10in KS

I'll try and get some pictures of them later. They are beat up, but still work.

Oh yeah. please include an amp since i don't have one. Cheap if possible.

Dual makes some of the worst products I have ever seen/used. I would highly recommend to stay away from anything by them.

I don't particularly like any of the subs you listed, but of of the 3 the Punch is the best. I'm currently running 2 12" MTX 4500's in my Mazda6 and couldn't be happier.

out of those i'm guessing the punch (depending on the year as the old p unch were pretty good back in the day)

 

rockford fosgate use to be good when their speakers were made in the USA. Now they are trash. I have had their subs burn out and fall apart. Dual not any better. NO on sony anything.

I run one 10in Diamond audio D1 series subwoofer and its provides alot of bass!

If new subs were your option, I would recommend MTX, Alphasonic, Visonik or of course, JL.

LMAO at the sony explode. I have had a lot of rockford fosgate stuff and I have never had a problem with any of it. My friend has the new P3s and they hit hard. But I agree there are better brands out there too look at that cost less.

 

for now i stuck the 12in punch in, sounds alright.

i'll soon buy better ones once i get the $$$.

i'll probably do the stealth later.

 

Yea if you only got one you will need more soon. I had one in my old car and that last 2 months before I need to buy something new that was louder.

 

Just decided to put the Explode in and compare, sounds way better.

Also, the punch is like 1/10 the weight of the explode.

 

Yea just wait until it actually explodes!

I'll say the X-plod's have a nice sound when properly tuned, but I've never hear of them lasting more than a few months.

 

haha a few months for me is fine,

good enough to earn some money for real subs.
