Default Subwoofer Installation

I'm going to be installing a subwoofer in my tC soon and I would like to know the best way to run the power wire through the firewall, if anyone could help me out, I'd really appreciate pictures.
Thanks

If you look under your driver's dash, there's a giant grommet where the main wiring goes through. You should be able to make a small slice in the rubber and push the wire through from the interior and pull it out from the other side. That's what I did anyway... and my 4 gauge wire fit just fine.

Depends on if you have a 5 speed or an automatic. On the 5 speed the firewall access is on the passanger side. The best way to run the wire is from the battery, under the air intake, zip tie to the firewall behind engine (i used black wire loom to help hide and protect the wire) then remove your glove box and youll be able to stick a coat hanger or "whip" through the firewall access (black rubber gromet about 2 inches in diameter) from there you can run it under the plastic inner door sills to the back where you can remove the seat and and bring your wire up to the back of the car (under the seat is also a good place to drill a hole for a ground). If you have the auto then the firewall access is on the driver side. You can run off the battery under the air intake through the firewall access (same black gromet) then look for you coat hanger under the dash on the inside of the car. from there you can run it under the plastic inner door sills and through the back seats. If you have any more questions just ask.

^ That makes it seem way complicated. The best grommet is on the driver's side (no matter which transmission - I have a manual, trust me). Then run your power down the drivers side under the door sill and then the remote/rca's down the passenger side door sill.

Ya, you have to get under the steering wheel and look up a bit - but it's there. It's not too bad. I just did it a couple weeks ago to rewire my amp. Once you push it through a couple inches, you can just grab it from the engine bay.

I have a manual, and it's on the driver's side, you kinda have to contort your body to see the grommet under the dash, and you'll definitely need a flashlight, but it's there...

fyi,

both automatics and manuals have those two rubber grommets.. one on the passenger side, one on the driver side.

i always found the driver side to be the simplest.
