Default Subwoofer problem

Hi! Well, my problem is that my subs don't play. It started some time ago where it would stop playing for a couple days then just magically come back up. They are not playing now. If I put the Sub volume in my HU all the way up, it starts kinda playing but is in and out ( also sounds really crappy because bass is so high). If I do that enough, sometimes the subs come back and start working again and i lower the sub volume and back tyo normal. If i turn down the main volume then the bass is gone again. I don't know what the problem is. It's not clipping and power is running to them. no burning smell and cone moves freely. any help is appreciated.

might be a bad ground that comes loose then gets a good connectiont hen looses, or check the wires going from the batt to the amp or the amp to the subs.

Could have wired the subs too loose, but its probably the ground.
