Default Suede headliner question

Ok, so my 05 tc is a total loss and there is a suede headliner I have on it. I'm getting the RS 5.0 tomorrow and the question is, if i swap out the pieces, will it have any impact on the side curtain airbag sensors? Or will the airbags work fine?. The person who is doing the swap outs does quality work, a trust source. Thanks in advance.

clips are slightly different for the pillars with the airbags.

the sensors aren't even in the same area... they'll still work.

Cool, thanks for the information. Despite the different clips should it all be swapped out ok or will it be a pain?

the headliner it self will mount up fine as it is velcro tape,

the panel behind the rear side window is not the same,05 it is plastic,09 it is a two piece part that is held in shape with a glue so that when the airbag pops it lets bag out.,you also will not have the clip that keeps panel from exploding into cabin into passengers when bag goes off.

The seatbelt pillars are pretty much the same on both years

Front pillars are pretty much the same too except you also wil not have th clip to hold panel on when bags go off.

Honestly I would just pull the seatbelt piece, and the headliner and use the 09 pieces and have them resueded, they are easy enough to do and not to costly.....and safer that they are not flying around in an accident.

BZinn, to be clear, so despite the fact that the front and back pilars appear in one peace, they are actually held in 2 from the inside part? Is that why the clips won't work and even tho it can be swapped, safety reasons would be the reason not to?

the back piece that is behind the rear side window is differant in cars that have no airbags,it is plastic and one piece, the ones that are for air bags are two pieces the lower piece is glued to the upper piece, but it all looks like one big piece,I glued mine back to one piece after I sueded it.

the A and B pillars are the same except they have a special clip on the A pillar that keeps it from flying off when airbag goes off, same with the back piece, the B pillar is the same on all the cars.

Ok, so I guess forget the C pillar. Ok, for the A Pillar, can I just swap it out to my old piece and then just use the special clip on the suede piece? The whole point is to keep my cost down since my other car was totaled.

well I know the A pillar will fit right in and work, but there is no way to pin it in as the pin for the apillar is part fo the pillar and it clips into the car body.once you open it up you will see the differance,my guess is it will work fine, but the pillar piece cannot be sucured in the event airbag goes off.
