Default Suprised with Pioneer Avic D3

So my GF suprised me with it while we were out of town for the weekend. I love it, didnt think i was going to get that for a while but its great.

She got one of my good friends to install it.

Now just a couple questions:

How do you guys like it?

Did you have problems with covering the space around it and keeping the scion cover working and how's you do it?

How about for the iPod, is the Aux connection in the arm rest no good anymore?

and i know there is a way to re wire everything so you can watch a movie while your driving?

Now my friend is good at this but i assume time was an issue so not everything was finished, (like the ipod connection)

i was going to take a look at everything this weekend, when i had more time,

So any feedback would be appreciated.. thanks guys

Did you purchase a dash kit?

As for the door closing properly, just check out this thread: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...=avic++install

It should be the 6th Picture down.

I dont think can use the Aux connection anymore (correct me if im wrong). Just buy one of the iPod Interface cables which connect directly to the back of the D3 so you can control everything from the HU.

Its very easy to do. Just follow the diagram.

^agreed......the eq is not well tuned and I have fought to get everything tuned in with my amp instead of using the deck.......I just left everything basically flat onthe deck and tuned the sound withthe crossovers and amp.........

the deck functions well except for the navi sometimes willnot let you put in a name of a road or such as it guesses the match like ST,RD,AV,and say you need LN.......it willnot give the optionto use it.....

The bypass is very easy and works well.........
