so i am working on the building of a system for my 08 tC. i already have an amp and 2-8" eclipse from my old system ( yea i know 8's, but only going to SQ), and i didn't know if anyone actually used 8's in theirs to know the deminsions for airspace with trying not too take up too much room in the back. and it will be ran by a 600w RF amp with a panasonic double-din dvd reciever for the hu

 

should sound good. 8's can rock.
I have about 400ish rms going to a single 10 and it get pretty nasty inside. Its all about the install and how well your box is built

 

each 8" sub can take anywhere in between .2-.6cuft of space. But if you are crazy...look up "crazy 8s spl" in google or something.

 

alright, because i plan on building the box myself because every audio place around me wants a couple hundred for a box, and im tapped out for now between the screen, led's, exhaust and what not. any suggestion on if the box should have the subs faced up, towards the hatch or lay the backseat down and face the seats?

 

i have my ten pointing up at the hatch window. so thats deff a good option. in a hatch normally you would face them up or back and not forward.
