System help
Ok right now im in the coast guard and im out at sea and when i get back i wanna buy a system for my tc. i been reading and reading and searching and i get confused on all the other subjects . so for i think i am gonna get the kicker 12" solo baric l5 and a kicker kx600.1 and the pioneer DEH-M6800MP but i dont want to loose the steering wheel controls so i was reading on that Peripheral PESWIX Steering Wheel Audio Control Interface and have a shop install it for me but theres no reviews on it or nothing. so i was wondering if anybody had an opinion on it and the sub and amp. then i have no clue about my 4 door speakers and the 2 little ones by the handle. wat should i do with that. so if u guys could please help me it would be the **** thanks alot
The L5 solo barics (or L7's) are a loud sub... but they lack in the sound quality that other subs have to offer.... sounds like you're not very experienced with audio, so the L5 may be what you're looking for....
as for the regular mids/highs, get a component system to install up front and put an additional amp on them, then run the rears stock off the HU or upgrade them to coaxials ran off the HU...

Yea i do lack in audio.. and wat does a component system include of and how many watts would it be decent in if i go with component system.. or is it something simple u could just go to a audio place or circuit city and get and hook up urself?
Components come in all different sizes/wattages/price ranges... a good into level component set is the elemental Design eDi-6000s ... they handle 100 watts per side RMS... they have 2) 6.5" midranges,2) tweeters, and 2) crossover networks... the x-overs will seperate the higher sounds from the lower sounds and send them to the appropriate speaker... That in itself is a good reason to get components up front because then you won't have to worry about hard distortion as much...
and if you're confident in your own ability with disassembly and reassembly of interiors to automobiles, and confident in your basic auto-electrical skills, you should be able to install components and amps/subs fairly easily if you're patient and ask questions if needed....
