System Help before i buy..
okay so i am about to purchase a system, and i ahve thought about it alot and i have came down to hifonics amp, subwoofer, and speakers, stinger wires, and if i can i wanna go with the stock headunit cuz i love it. what i want to know from all you audio gurus is if this will sound good, and if it will pound.. like will it set off car alarms haha?
but here is what i want:
-Front Speakers: Hifonics ZXi 6.2C
-Rear Speakers: Hifonics ZXi 63
-Subwoofer: Hifonics AS12R
-Subwoofer Amplifier: Hifonics TXi 7506
-Speakers Amplifier: Hifonics TXi 4406
-Head Unit: STOCK
as far as how it will look.. its gonna be a stealth system, i will be takin out all the tools and spare tire. so i can build the box inside of it, and still be able to place my cargo mat on top so i can cover it up and still have all my cargo space.. but here is what it will look like.. one amp on the right, the sub in the middle, and one on the left..
also will i run into any problems with the stock headunit as far as powering the system.. i know about the rca connections.. but i just love the stock headunit so i wanna keep it.

i know hifonics is a great brand. but um. i think in general, the best way to utilize these speakers would be to upgrade the deck to that have the closest matching specs to the speakers. but i could be wrong. only reason i say that is because i most speakers are optimal at diffrent wattages, and since the stock speakers are well.. stock..lol.. i know they are optimized for the stock head unit. again i could be wrong. lol. hope this helped.. and sorry if it didnt! lol
haha ya.. ive been out cuz my comp broke, and i have been workin so no time to fix it, but my bro fixed it while i was gone today, THANK GOD.. it was like two weeks without my comp.. ive been usin my sis's laptop and my bros comp.. but they both suck!!
but anyways.. i have been workin on my car, i got a K&N intake, Megan Racing Headers, and a Greddy Air Diversion Panel.. whats next?? prolly 2.5 inch midpipe with 30" resonator to go with my magnaflow axleback
but why do i need a new head unit? is the stock not sufficient enough?

bob, it isnt sufficient enough..trust me, getting a new deck will make your stock speakers sounds way better than they do now, more clear and the bass is tighter. at least thats what i experienced from my Eclipse deck.
do your new stereo system a favor, make it happy lol seriously though, you'll get a lot more output from a new HU

The reason you're getting better results with an aftermarket head unit is because of the increased power to the speakers. If you use the stock HU and an external amplifier, I think you'll find you get better results than using any head unit, stock or aftermarket, to power the speakers.
