MB quart component speakers are VERY GOOD... but they are expensive 500 dollar speakers. its worth the money if you want the best clarity. my buddy got his MBquarts installed on s2000 and that thang sounded so clear especially when top-down!

 

Alpine head unts are good aswell

 

I second the MB Quart idea. However, you can get a set as cheap as $100 bucks for a 5 1/4 component set. For the head unit the pioneer is what I would go with, just becase I dont like the glide bar on the new alpine decks. I have a premier p860mp in my car and its awsome.

As for the sub and amp... I am not a big JL fan, I think its overpriced for what you get. I have a directed audio 300 watt mono block and a infinity 10 that I got from circuit city for a hundred dollars and its awomse.
