Default tC Short Shifter > which one?

I have found no less than FIVE brands of short shifters for the tC. Hmmm...

Anyone's comments on the best and/or the worst are much appreciated. Here are some links to each one for your convenience (I'm not recommending any of the sites, just getting product info):

Well I think you'll get a lot of "i have this one and love it" responses, but it might help.

That being said... I have the CC one and I love it!

No, really though. For the price, it's awesome. I wasn't sure if I wanted a lower height originally, but I'm happy it's lower. It's WAY more than noticable in the throw. The TWM Stage 2 is also very nice, I've heard. Similar height drop and throw reduction.

Haven't heard too much on the B&M, though I know a few people have it. I don't think I've seen any tC people that have the Perrin though... And I've never heard of the ARK one...

ARK reduces the throw by quite a bit while maintaining stock height. dunno if you would consider that a "short" shifter... hehe... and i think it's pricy too..

anyway.. i got the TWM stage 2 and love it.. hehe.. got the stainless steel bombshell **** with it too some other friends have it as well as the CC one... they all love their short shifters... and then one of my friends got the 1st ARK one... he likes it at stock height.

http://www.arkspeedracing.com/arkcmd/1403742/

that's my friend Danny that has the review on the site too.

i guess you'll have to call to find out if they are available... but yeah... it's released.

I have the b&m, you guess it, I love it. Sits about stock height so I modified it and with the new shift **** it sits about 1 1/4 lower which is prefect in my book.

I have the CC one as well many others on this forum, I love the shorten height and throw. Reasonably priced. But you need to rub a lot of LUBE otherwise your shift will be really tight (suggestion).

Well i have the twm stage 2 and you'll prolly hear this a lot but i love it!!

I wasn't sure about the height difference but after the pain in the a@$ install I really don't know how i drove w/o it!! Such a great and noticable difference it makes!!! also reduces the "notchy" feeling you get with the stock shifter!!

this might just be my driving style or just me but I also think that it helps with the throttle delay due to the drive by wire system we have in our cars...

got it used here on the site for half the price so just look around!!! good luck with your decision!!!

I'm thinking about buying the CC for its price and the fact that I want my shifter as short as possible. By the way, that price is insane, its $69.95 @ the CC website. What part will I need to lube, and what did you use to lube it?

For those of you with TWM stage 2, did it come with a free ****, or did you have to get it seperate? Those weighted ***** are pricey and might be worth the extra money.

FYI a new short shifter is coming out in a month or two. Supposedly it'll be fantastic. It'll be available on Spark's in a little bit.

I'm holding out for this new one. I can't give anymore info.. ALHHK.

Well like others, i used the lube left on the stock shifter and i actually went out and bought some lithium lube, because the leftovers doesnt seem enough. Try your local kragen or autozone stores to see if they have some clear lube. Local car mechanic garages might have some if you ask them nicely.

There's also a DIY tech page on this site that shows you step by step on how to remove the old and install the new shifter.

I have the cc shifter too and I like the feel. The only thing is that it doesn't like to return to the center when in neutral. I've only had it on for a week, so I think it needs a little time to wear in. Also, I lubed the hell out of it with white lithium grease. Hopefully it'll be good in a few more weeks.
