Default tC Stealth Box??

Has anybody heard how the stealth box from JL sounds?
I was thinking about getting something like that but I'm worried it wont give me the bass I'm looking for.

Thanks.

When you buy that hidden set up from ED does it come with the cables and instructions?

not much is needed in the way of instructions...

but as far as cables.. it does not include any cables... its the sub and the enclosure. The enclosure does have connectors that you wire to though.

No it won't, but neither will any other subs unless you go for like a powered sub, then maybe. It really isn't that hard to get the right cables.

I find that stealth box to be quite awesome, but I'm also studying the possibility of fitting subwoofers other than the eD one. I am not ruling the SQ10 out, but I'm interested in hearing the dimensions, how tall the sub can be, etc.
These are the subs I am also considering.

So basically, mandos, do you know the mounting depth of the box?

x20 for the eD. For you guys running the SQ10 with the eD box.. Anyone else have the flap ziptied up? If I put it down it smacks right against the panel and thats no bueno.

You aren't the only one who does that, I was told that you can use a microfiber cloth to prop up the flap.

About 3.25".

Out of all those subs, you can rule out the first 3 because of both mounting depth and it's only a .3 cube box.

The last two, I'm really not sure on the overall diameter, the box was made to fit an SQ10 and the sides of the box actually end up as part of the mounting surface....so if they were much bigger, it wouldn't work too hot.

As for the flap, shoot me an e-mail cschempp@edesignaudio.com

We started sending out a few square inches of V4 to go on the bottom side of it to make the gap so it wouldn't bounce anymore but some of the first people and I'd imagine some people recently didn't end up with it. I just shipped out another 12 of the boxes 2 days ago and I know all those people got the V4....since I did it myself.

honestly for the prices of those subs you're better off getting the eD stealthbox combo. hell it'd just be cheaper to anyway lol
