Default tC stereo problem

I have a 2007 tC with the standard stereo (Pioneer T1807). I really don't use the radio at all...I just play mp3 CDs (with approximately 150 songs each).

Most of each CD plays fine, but certain songs are skipped completely. For example, after song 25 finishes, it will flash the number 26 several times, then skip directly to number 27. However, if I seek backwards to 26, it will play. My current CD skips 10 out of 149 songs!

My favorite song was skipped on my first CD but played on my second. And several other songs played fine on previous CDs but skip on my current one. Also, the tracks that are skipped change for each CD. Therefore the songs that are skipped are not corrupted in any way, and the track number has nothing to do with the problem.

The CD is perfectly clean, and there are no scratches. I usually use iTunes to burn them, but I tried Roxio and the problem remains. I have tried each CD in my mom's 2005 tC and it works fine.

Has anyone experienced this problem before? I thought that resetting the stereo might help, but I cannot figure out how to do it. Does anyone have any other ideas that might fix the problem?

Thanks,
Jenna

sounds like it maybe have something to do w/ the encoding... but if it works on another car... it should work in yours. yeah i'm sorry. no idea only thing i can think of... is an upgrade! haha j/k but yeah you may want to take it to the dealer and they may be able to give you some kinda warranty if they find something wrong w/ it.

It happens to me too. I just put up with it because I can't find anything wrong. It may be just natural imperfections in the blanks discs you're using. I think I may try cleaning it with a lens cleaner disc. That's all I can come up with.
