Tc1 scion security lock wire
So I've had my 09 tc for coming on 3 yrs and it has always bugged me that it will not give an audible tone when locking the doors. My idea has been to isolate the "lock wire" coming from the 09 factory alarm, connect that to a relay to send power to the horn. Essentially you would hit the door lock on the key and it would power the horn to alert you it actually locked. Everyone says im being overly sensitive but with my turbo time and parking my car in the sunlight its hard to tell if the key locked the car from a distance.
Does anyone have/know of a wiring schematic for the factory scion alarm?

Yeah I tried searching around a few times and couldn't come up with anything. I know I can do the lock wire to the doorlocks and use that to get power. What id rather do is find the signal coming from the keyless entry. That way it wont beep everytime I hit the lock button on the door...just the key.
Might not be doable but its just something I've been looking into

the link i just posted above shows you how to wire your factory horn to chirp/honk when you lock your car with your keys and from the inside.. very easy DIY that i plan on doing this weekend

there isn't a seperate lock and keyless wire on these cars. Even the factory alarm wires get a neg signal when you hit the button inside the car so there is no way to isolate away from that.
Kinda sucks but I just installed a 5901 and ditched the factory keyless to solve the problem lol.
