it could close, just have to drill a hole on the bracket that makes it sit a little further back

 

There isn't anywhere to drill in the bracket, holes are already predefined. You can move the unit back further on the brackets but when installed the unit will not open. I've tried a variety of different things and don't have a working combination yet.

 

first mod should be an alarm. If u can afford an expensive headunit then u can afford a alarm that is half the price to protect all ur other investments.

I ALWAYS keep my radio door down too.
