So I took my door pannel off today, was doing the handle leds, and now the controls like the button to roll the windows up and down are blinking, and i cant roll it up or down, i know i saw somewhere thats its a safety feature and a way to fix it, unfortunatly i cant find it =( any help is appreciated.

 

hold the button down for 15 seconds or so...should reprogram....

I had the same problem on the last install...I know it's a PITA if you already the the door panel back on, but take it off and make sure the switch is plugged in all the way and correctly...Then, before putting the door panel back on make sure it works...And to reprogram, you roll the window down half way and then roll it all the way up and hold it there for a couple seconds, then it is all good...

 

If the buttons are blinking, the harness is connected and it most likely just needs to be reset (follow the instructions in your owners manual or in countless threads on SL). He should try resetting first, not taking it back apart first. Always try the simple approach before tearing it back apart

 

True, BUT...The last instal I did, the lights were blinking like that but the buttons wouldn't roll the window down, which is what he said he is experiencing, which is why I suggested it..If it needs to just be reset than it would still roll the windows up and down, it just wouldn't do the auto feature...
