Default True UV Black Light Gauges and UV HVAC *PICS* (of course!)

Okay, I'm tired, and I'll give you guys plenty of details. But for now, just some teaser pics.

They are true uv black light LED's. They look more blue in the pics (which don't do them ANY justice). They are VERY nice in person! The xb uv gauges did not turn out as nice, but these are nice.

I also did the steering wheel, and door controls, and indicator lights on the gauges all in UV.

Okay. Enjoy the pics. Ask the questions. Good night!

P.S. for the needles, I cleared the orange (as always), put a clear uv reflective paint, and put the usual white paint behind it. Makes the light pop a lot more!

UV is definately bad to be looking at. I think this could actually cause vision problems if you have too look at it over a long period of time. The fact is, light in the 360-400 range will be getting out and into people eyes. Not safe. Now the cheap low powered ones you are using arent a major risk but not worth it IMO.

It would have been easier to just buy a Passat.

You do realize that uv leds are horrible for your eyes.. most led manufactures warn you not to use them for visual displays because they damage your eyes over time. I highly reccomend not doing this to your car. I have had requests and will not do these for this very reason. Even the ones in the output range we use I have seen come with a Laser level warning label.

I put some in my map lights just for kicks. Whenever I turn them on while driving, I get disoriented quickly. I would not suggest this mod.
