Default Tweaking the ASL

I've noticed how the asl(automatic sound leveling) in the stock stereo could really increase your bass when driving fast. since i ve gone broke moding me suspension and intake, i probably wont be able to get a system anytime soon.
so im jsut wonderinf if there is anyway to fool the asl that im driving fast all the time, then i could really the potentials of my 160 watts. since the bass gets pretty rich at high speeds, it'll be a good hold-over until i can get a system.
in the electric wiring diagram it seems that the stock is connencted to the speed sensor, that'll be harder to tweak than if it was just a noise sensor.
I donno if anyone have done this but if you guys have any ideas on this i would really appreciate it.

It's a 2006-2007 thing.

Us 2005s aren't worthy of ASL.

don't think there's a way to really simulate the speed sensor going into the stock radio.

but yes.. there is a wire that goes to the stock radio for that.

Can you do that on an 05 too? I tried, but it didn't work...maybe I wasn't doing it correctly.

I have an '07, and if I understand this, you're saying that you can change the car type to "xB" in order to get a richer more bassy sound? If this is right, could someone link me or post the steps?

NM, I found the steps, but does the xB sound the best? I know it is just supposed to mess with the EQ.

yes i have my tc set on xB setting, srt on and bass +5 treble -5. the sound is quite rich for a 160 watt speaker, but the ASL could make the bass even richer. thats what i've trying to do, to make the ASL make the music louder no matter what speed im driving.
and xB setting has way more bass than tC and xA cuz xB's got a lot more interior space to fill up the sound.

Gotcha. Do you know if the ASL is controlled by the speed or the road noise. I would imagine it would have to be road noise, as speed doesn't have the impact on road noise that a gravel road would. It would seem that if it was controlled by road noise, that it would be a bear to trick. Time is probably better spent working to earn money for an amp. ;)
