Default TWM hmmmm

what do you guys think about the TWM stage 2 short shifter? I want to get one really bad and i am going to order one here shortly but i want to know if the bushings for the cable and base are worth spending the extra dough....i could get the short shifter, cable and base bushings and a short shift boot all for $209...a lil input on the bushings would be helpful. I searched and couldnt find a whole lot on the bushings.

Everyone that i have talked to said that they looooooove their short shifter from TWM

any complaints or anything? thanks all!

creative compacts STS (and it comes with base bushings)- $69 shipped
corsport cable bushings- $30 shipped
redline goods shift + ebrake boots- $57 shipped
greddy weighted shift ****- $30.30 shipped

total- $186.30

you get more for less $$ really. The shift + ebrake boots are made however you want (for instance, i got black leather w/ blue + grey stitching and 1.5" shorter than normal to account for the sts). The only thing you lose with this setup is that the twm gives you a 2" shifter height reduction and 35% throw reduction while the creative compacts only gives you 1.5" height reduction and 30% throw reduction.

the choice is yours

TWM is a good choice, but there are cheaper and not necessarily worst choices.

take off the center console and check to see if the bottom ball or the leftside ball on the shifter came out of their holders.

It didnt. We took it apart..the thing actually lifts out of the socket! there is nothing hold it down. It just slides right out. Aparantly the part were they put the shaft to the ball..that came undone. TWM knows about this issue and i am not the first person to have this problem. /sigh

i've had my TWM for about a year now and no problems whatsoever! Great product and well worth the money. If you have the cash, then i would recommend getting the cable bushings. the boot on the other hand...i kinda like the way our boot sits after installing the STS

i had a shop paint it. they used the same paint + clear that they used on my lip kit (same can and everything).

the **** will work with the stock shifter, but there's a 3/4" gap between the chrome part and the bottom of the ****.
