i think it's a RADAR detector, not a COP detector

lol how would it be able to know if there is a cop if he isn't transmitting any waves (radar/laser)? It is a radar/laser detector, which means that when/if it detects certain radar bands and laser bands, it issues you an alert. Cop cars don't transmit anything on their own when the radar is off.

its that good huh? I mean, if you're a speed demon, $400 to prevent tickets is a heck of a lot better than $800 in tickets, plus court appearances, plus points, plus guilt from the girl, plus insurance costs lol. Is it really THAT good though for the $400? And i'll believe you if you say yes as i've never seen it in action!

Yeah I went with the rx65 from beltronics.. it was a hard toss up, but I was a bit short on cash at the time.. i should have waited for the v1 and just saved my $ as the v1 is upgradeable and has directional detection, whereas the beltronics just goes nuts without telling you where the bogie is...

ya its not bad cause your a customer for life instead of the next better radar detector coming out the next year you can always upgrade yours for very cheap usually around 50$ instead of another 400$ thats why im getting the valentine not the escort

I am nto a speed demon, but after having a 200 cobra and a 250 uniden over the years, i can safely say this thing rocks. The best thing is that it tells you where its coming from and how many sources there are, lets you know exactly what is going on.

wow, thats some impressive stuff. I mean, for $400 it better be, but nevertheless, very impressive. When I hear my detector go off, I just slow down. I'm not sure I understand the relevance of it telling you where its coming from and how many sources there are, but it sounds cool. I like the fact that its upgradable for cheap. Thats a major plus!!
