No.... you unfortunatly pay for what you get.... at least save for a bit and pick up one of the cheaper/quality brands.... MTX is cheap and decent quality... any of the ones you buy at pep boys and such definately should be avoided.

well it depends, personally JL=good product just overprice'd you pay for the name, but they are a very known brand for a reason, i've heard a-bahn some arn't that bad but personally i'll never buy a-bahn, will you be installing this yourself, You could try some kicker CVR's, RE sx's i beleive, there are alot of things out there also you could try www.edesignaudio.com, they have a sells rep on these forums mondos20 or something like that mondos sumtin hes doing 32 EU-700's, i think thats what their called in the trunk of his scion, and he knows his products pretty well so maybe you can talk to him and get a decent deal on an amp kit and such, there is also a guide on the forums with a how to take apart your scion

infinity reference subs are a great starting point forr someone new to system building. they get relatively loud and have good sound quality. also they are pretty cheap. i got 2 for $100 promo last year.

I agree with evryone above.. Stay away from Visonik a guy I used to be friends with had 2 10' rockford in his blazer they got stolen and he replaced them with 2 12' Visoniks and they sound like absolute SH**.

Talk to mandos and go with EDs they are cheaper and are quality. That is what I am going to be running throughout my entire car come summer time..

i have a few differnt visonik amps
thier just great.

incredible.
very comparable to my big orion amp
and clear like my old jl 1000.1
just cheaper.

+1 for JL.. I've always used their subs and they last forever.

I currently have a JL 12W1v2.4 with a 250watt clarion amp, I love it.

yah, stay away from any brands you find at Pep boys (visonik, jensen, etc..)

MTX and Audiobahn both make NICE subs..very comprable. You'd be happy with either one.

05FMtC: "DON'T DO IT!!! you can get somthing like a jl 10w1 for 99 and a e1200 amp for 150 and itll hit alot harder then those 2 visoniks ." ----hmmm..do you happen to HAVE a 10w1 and e12oo amp????

i think he's looking for UNBIASED opinions you ED people.

FYI, there are much better and reasonably priced products out there besides Elemental designs (unknown except to the SL forums)

Circuit City always has sales on MTXs and Kickers and Rockfords, They usaully will have a sale where you can get 2 subs in a box plus an amp for under $400. Try that ...

im not and ED person personally i will never buy their products because they really won't do what i need it to do in competition's, their amps would but subs just won't shatter my windows so unfortunatly I wouldn't by any for myself but i would buy them for friends family ect, either that or some stereo integrity mags
