weird ac outlet problem
hey everyone.
I'm new to the scion club and I love the car. I've looked through the forums and couldnt find my specific problem, which is a weird one. so here goes.....
When I got the car I plugged in my ipod charger to the outlet inside the armrest. Within an hour the fuse was blown on the ipod charger. I thought the ipod charger was old, so I bought a new one. When I plugged the new one in, I could hear a high pitch whine of my rpm's through my speakers. I unplugged the charger and it went away. When I plugged it back in, it blew the fuse in the new charger.
I called the dealership and they were insisting that it was the "aftermarket accessory" that was the culprit. But I tried 2 different charges all with the same result.
So, does anyone have any ideas on what it could be?
Thanks in advance,
Jay
