Default What do u have to look for? Please help

Ok well Im looking at stereo deck with a DVD screen but the flip out ones..

and I just went on to best buy and saw a couple..mainly Pioneer, Kenwood and Dual.
They have a small tool where u input your car and it tells u if it fits and I did one and for a deck it told me it wouldnt fit.....see question #2

but my questions are:

1) Is Dual a good company?

2) What do I have to look for when looking for one of these decks?

Im new at this so please forgive my noObness!!!!

here a deck i was looking at..pretty cheap plus I dont care as long as it work...My girl and our little boy would use it most of the time so he's 3 yrs old so he wont care either

First off, you should check out equipment here Crutchfield.com. They have reviews and their system (once you input your car) will tell you if they fit or not. SOME of those yahoos at Best Buy and Circuit City don't even know if they fit or not.

Second, you know that the DVD function WILL NOT work while the car is moving. It only works when you're parked. Yes, you can try and override the e-brake but all the newer (later 2005s and up I believe) will not allow you to do this. (Correct me if I'm wrong.)

Third, I have heard that Dual is ok. But there are much better brands out there for the same amount of $$$. I guess the cliche "you get what you pay for" applies here.

Lastly, I would seriously consider a Double-Din In-dash DVD player. If you go with one that pops out, you're going to need to remove the radio door. With the DD Player, you can still keep your player hidden behind the radio door. (I really like the radio door feature!) If you can afford it, I would save up more $$$ and buy one of these...

Alpine IVA-W200

Kenwood DDX6019

Panasonic CQ-VD6503U

There are others there, but I would narrow it down to these 3. I'm partial to the Alpine. I hope this helps you out!
