Default What do you do with the Avic Z1 to fool it?

So I'm debating between an AVIC Z1 and a DDX8017

I know how to wire up the kenwood, but with the AVIC z1, what do you do with it to fool it into thinking you're stopped so that half of the functions aren't taken away while driving?

hmm... someone told me that he just flicks his headlights on and than off... something about sending a pulse to the unit.
(this is for the Z1)

This applies to every other unit out there EXCEPT for the Z1. All you need to do is flick your lights within the 1st five seconds of start up and all features should work.

Go to www.avic411.com for more in depth info.

well.. to clarify.. it applies to units that have come out after the n1.

so the d1, d2, n2, n3, z1.. etc.. yeah... the safety feature is built into the software.

but googling works wonders to learn how to bypass stuff.

Hows the video quality using the bypass for the Z1. Debating between that unit and 5435 but was wondering how movies would look using the bypass.
