Just curious as to what people are getting metered at now a day.
Me first
I hit 139db at 42hz with a 12" Resonant Engineering SX sub in a 2cuft box tuned to 32hz, using a RockfordFosgate T10001BD amp, old school Alpine HU. That was metered on a termpro mic. Stock electrical.
So what is your set up and what did you hit and what mic was they using.
Keep this thread clean from stupid discussions IE. don't stray off TOPIC! LOL

i was metered Sunday with a portable meter and a horrible song. Running two Alpine type R 12"s in a ported self made fiberglass box. Pushed by two monoblock alpine v power amps. I hit 125.4 dont know how acurate it was.
But of all the scions that were measured I came in second. I was beat out by a xB with 2 15"s in a ported 3 cubic foot box professionally done, and he only hit 126.2
So comparatively, I was doing VERY good for my 12"s. I have them turned WAY down, after an hour of play, you could touch the amps and there was no heat difference from the normal air temperature. Gain turned all the way down and dB set to 0.
Not to bad for a homemade setup.

With the system that I installed...I hit 150db and almost flexed my back plate off. I have 2 10" MTX MXS1004s and an MTX 1501D. The interiors also helped since I have 2 sets of Polk Momo 6.5" components w/ 100 watts to each from an MTX 564. Needless to say I was almost deaf when I got through my run...lol. The bad thing is that I didn't win b/c a junk camaro had a monster 15 and 2500W (true power) amp. He hit, I think, like 151.7db. But oh well...better luck next time.
i was metered at 130d. that was a avrage of a 30 second run, im not sure what the max db i can hit is. thats with the eclipse xa1000 (640w) and 2 12" eclipse sw4200. amp was not tuned and no sound deadining. the speakers are in my custom fiberglassed box, reverse mounted. was on a ____ty song, and now that i got my car sound deading done, plus my amp tuned better, should hit higher. waiting on a nother chance to db it.
142.2dB in my GA before I traded it with 2 alpine type-e 12" subs and a alpine v-power mrp-m350 350 watt mono amp. Puttin the system in the tC tomorro. Let ya know at the next spl comp i go to.

I have been looking around, and my metering from this weekend HAD TO HAVE BEEN OFF. The best anyone hit was 126.xx with 2 15"S.
i have a similar setup to "unique tc" but I have MUCH better alpines (type Rs) with double the amps and he only measured me at 125.5. I ned I had to be hiting harder than he said.
I just saw a thread where a 8inch image dynamics hit 130. My subs are flexing my outside body panels and hurts peoples ears when inside. I doubt an 8 is hitting louder than I am.
I need to be properly measured.

I've seen 2 DD 6" subs in a ported box hit 133db or so. Its all in the way you design the box. With the same set up I have people have hit 149db or so but I don't think I will be building a 6cu box anytime soon!
No, that was in the car w/ the 888 on a Tsunami dB1800T

Like that.
I'd post the pic but it's HUGE.
