Default What voltage led's for headlights?

Hi all, I was wanting to install LED's in the orange side markers on the tC headlights but I am not sure what voltage to get or if I should just get the usuall 3 volts with 470 ohm resistors. Btw I am going to put 5mm led's in not replacement bulbs. If I do the standard 3 volts with 470 ohm resistor, could I just use one resistor and then do a chain of led's? Thanks in advance.

if you're wiring leds in series... one 470 ohm is too much.
