Default Whatever happened to those LED shifter rings?

I remember seeing a post by the Super Fa guys demoing a LED ring to go around the bottom of the shift **** in the tC.

Did that ever come out? I ran a search and I couldn't find the thread, nor could I find the item on the Super Fa website.

i would be interested if they make it in UV. also though i would like to see pics of it uninstalled, because with my greddy ****, you can see the top of the ring.

That would be awesome if there were a switch to it. I'm sure it could easily be done... but the always on thing might bother me.

I installed my this weekend and i will be taking pics on Wed. since i cant get a camera any sooner.....maybe ill take phone pics but we all know that those suck.....These little suckers are bright but i think it is great with all the other blue stuff in my car....install was very easy once i realized that the wires for the cigarette lighter = white to power / black to ground
the wires for this shifter light are red and black so i was a little confused at first!!!
red to white and black to black
if you have an illumination kit tap into the wires that go to the cup holder and then you can turn it on an off with you switch for illumination already in place, no need for an extra switch!!!

Any questions let me know!

Great!!! I'm glad you got it figured out. Can't wait to see pictures. We'll post them on the our website. I'd love to see it in person on Friday night at the track if you can make it up. With the times you have posted you have a great shot at winning. Also you can check out our new Nitrous set-up. Nate and I went out last night and terrorized the local ricers in his tC. It's like that car was built for spray. Simply amazing...we'll have a few bottles for rides after the event if anyone wants to feel the result.

So I have a quick question:

With my shift **** in my tC, I flipped the stock bezel upside down to match widths with the bottom of my ****. Can this be installed the same way, or will those power/ground wires show up at all?

Economics, my man...it's a low production piece for a specific car. Everybody always complains about not having cool parts, but it's not like the Scion cars have the production numbers of say a Fox Mustang.

Go to any speed shop in America and they'll have at least (3) sets of Hi-Po heads (2) for the small block Ford under $1000.00 in stock. Intakes? At least 100 made for the car, most available in stock as low as $95.00 (real intakes, not cold air pipes). Does anyone even make an aftermarket head for the tC?

I understand our parts are not for everyone...some think they are too expensive, or too bright, or too whatever. We can't make eveyone happy, I'm sure. We're just a couple southern fellas making parts we'd like to see on our personal cars that are not currently available anywhere else. Now you or any other Scion owner can have these parts, or pass on it and get a ground kit instead. If enough people like these parts we'll make another, if not we'll just go our way and learn a lesson.

Sorry for the long post...

Not only would the wires show, but the LEDs would point in the wrong direction...without looking at one I imagine you could invert the circuit board inside the bezel and exit the wires through the original top plate. That would point the light in the right direction. I'll look in the morning and post up the result.

The exterior of this part is an exact copy of the original except for the top of the bezel where we have made it completely smooth so it still looks great with a smaller diameter shift ****. In other words it's not honeycombed on the top...it's solid.

That would be awesome if it could be reversible. If it were possible, I'd totally put some money down for it.

Picture looks great...love how the light spreads over everything, but doesn't shine in your eyes...

I go to Bithlo alot with my other car...great track. There's a few Scions coming out this friday night for test and tune...We'll also be taping video of our sponsered nitrous tc and a couple of spraying xBs...

Here's a link with details.

I used a circuit tester and found that black was power, white was ground...odd, but the circuit tester didn't lie. Could you please double check your connection and make sure black isn't power on yours?
