Order what? What is it you want to order? Just saying "system" is kind of generic and doesn't really say much? Just want a sub and amp? Maybe some components too? Or a new head unit?

While Crutchfield's prices are high, they at least send you everything you would end up buying elsewhere (harness, dash kit) with the purchase (last I checked anyway).

At the very least, it's a great place to browse and read info.... then go buy somewhere else.

yep yep. OP, just make sure you research what you're buying. Read reviews, read around on here. Have fun!

Yes, high prices. I guess that's why I got my Eclipse AVN6620 + harness + mounting kit +iPod adapter + XM tuner +bluetooth adapter for only $625, when the cheapest alternative was $850 for everything.

i shopped around for a head unit for my gf's car, and crutchfield was a bit cheaper than anywhere else, plus they included the freebies like all the install stuff and a remote. plus the customer service is way beyond any other site i've bought from. a rep called me within 2 hours of placing my order to make sure that i was getting what i wanted, and it shipped out that day. i was impressed.

There are so many places to choose from, but it doesn't really matter.

First look everywhere at all headunits and decide which one you want.

Then search google for all the places that carry that unit and buy it at the cheapest price.

Use the same process for practically anything/everything, not just HUs.
