Default where to Power/Ground TC for headrest monitors

I'm installing 2 headrest monitors and I think I've found a good enough place to ground them at, underneath the cupholders in the e-brake compartment, but besides running a wire or two up to the interior fuse box, what's the best way to tap into a power source where it wouldn't be running once the car was shutoff?

I ran a power wire up to the fuse box, held it in with a fuse in a spare slot, but alas when I awoke the power had drained from the battery. I shouldn't checked the monitors to see if they were still powered once I took out the key.

Default Do you have an amp?

Do you have an amplifier in the trunk? Under the driver or passenger side seat you can tap power and ground from?

For those who have monitors in their headrest, I would like to see some pictures. More of the cutout and fabracating of the headrest.

go to your lighter, or tap behind the radio. those are the best places.

You could try grounding to a metal part under the seat, or on one of the seat bolts.

Through the firewall. There's a groment in there you can put it through.

Or you could tap the fuse box under the dash!

Just tap the ignition switched power wire for the HU. That's what I did. Oh, and ground the monitors in the same place you ground your HU, unless you want to invite old Mr. Ground Loop over.

Basically same thing, except I would get the power from the ignition harness, switched 12v, as for the grounding, no need to ground at same spot of the HU, but ground both moniters to the same point, if there is noise, than twist two 16ga wires together long enough to reach your HU, and ground from moniter gnd point to HU gnd point. Also, fuse the power at what ever source you tap into. Just my 2cents.

I tried doing this with my Pioneer Sirius Radio Tuner, and I ended up blowing my fuse for the HU.

here is mine..
2 in headrests and then the dash

2 in the doors..

2 in the back..

I ran new wires to each seat. You can ground it right there. Just make sure it is a paint free surface. If you look close in this last pic there is a switch panel in there.. 1 is for the neon, 1 is for the stereo, 1 is for the monitors and 1 is for the nitrous. That way I have control of when my monitors are on and off.

Where did you get that carbon fiber cover under the console? Looks sick.
