Where should i paint?!
Ok so i sanded down everything for my interior pieces, and now i tried to prime outside and kept getting dust / debris on my parts and had to re-sand twice after attempting twice. Where should i paint the pieces? also should i wear any sort of protection to keep my hair / dust from getting on the pieces?
Paint in your garage. You can go to any hardware store and get some painter's plastic and hang it from the rafters or whatever. I use 6 mil so it won't just blow around. Set up a fan blowing out your garage door that you have open a couple feet so it pulls the over spray out. This is critical or you will be sanding orange peel looking stuff forever. Make sure to sweep the floor really good then let the dust settle. next hose down the floor and plastic curtain you have already hung to prevent particles from flying around. you don't need to make it a lake in there just enough to keep the dirt down. A dust mask isn't really going to help too much. If you want to wear a mask then you should go to your paint supplier and they should have one for your needs. I personally don't wear one especially for something as small as interior pieces. If you need a breather you can always step out for a minute. Hope this helps and all turns out well.
