yeah most of the ones you see were painted by the people themselves, its easy to take the "waterfall" out, then you just have to mask and spray!

is painting the gauge clusters an easy diy project? do you have to prime and sand for that part too and how long does the whole project take?

including drying time a day probably. a weekend to be safe. its all easy follow that link and read it. priing and sanding are your best best but not 100% required. you'll get out the effort you put in. goodluck!

Holy Crap, A weekend?!?! Not even a day...I did mine to match my superwhite and to do the guage outline, and complete waterfall and air vents took me maybe 3 hours...I went to autozone and got:

1. Scuff Pad - You'll need this to scratch the clear coat of the OEM plastic, just get it all nice and rough so the paint will stick.

2. 2 Cans of Krylon Plastic Gloss (White?) - This is the best paint to use while doing this and bonds the easiest as well as looks great...Dries in about 15 min and is ready to be handled and drove around with in about an hour.

3. Masking Tape and Xacto Knife- to get the curves and great look you'll need to take off everything and paint it carefully giving it even coats.

4. Patience - Just make sure you do everything even and don't miss any spots that you'll have to take everything apart and paint back on...other than that its easy, just find the DIY to remove interior pieces and you'll have no problem cause its not hard

Here Are Some Pics:

I went with white/black

Do you have any pictures of yours? I'm not sure if I want to do the vents or not. (or anything else) =)

I got the HVAC, the shift panel, the door panels, steering wheel panels, and gauge cluster.

haha well seems like you did alot, i left the regular air vents black (so the colors flowed) and then i painted the two defrost vents (also to keep the white flowing) and they also just pop out and they aren't a pain to get to like the others. I'll try and get some pictures
