too bad you have flint mica. That color blends in with carbon fiber too much.

I think it would be fricking sweet to have a carbon fiber version of the dash and console painted exactly like i have it. Instead of having the silver part like i do, have it be CF. Dude, that would look sick as hell.

plus this in in the interior so its not blending with anything hahah. i plan on gettin a hood/hatch also to tie in with the interior

 

well, i was just thinking that flint mica paint on top of carbon fiber wouldn't be really noticable at a quick glance. something like SW, BCP, or one of the blues would stand out more.

what pieces are you geting in CF anyways?

Hm, think I might do this to my interior since it's already ripped out for dynamatting ATM. I'd do it in FM though, which I hear is a _____ to match. I wonder how much a paint shop would charge for all the pieces painted FM...

 

i got my interior pieces + rs1 lip kit painted for $360 if that helps.

 

How do I get the plastic pieces for the radio controls off of my steering wheel?

I'm supposed to be dropping some stuff off to get painted but uh... I can't figure that last part out! lol

my opinion is a cheap and solid color usually comes out tacky. but the more unique.. i see alot of nice ones here though.

 

what's a good clearcoat? I bought duplicolor acrylic enamel s that good?

 

We'll I just got my Azure Pearl color-matched paint from www.paintscratch.com and will be painting up some dash parts real soon. I will post some pictures up within a week or so. I love the look of the painted-dash TC's you guys have been posting, keep it up!

 

how did you guys tape the stuff off in the center console.

 

remove it from the car (duh), and then painters tape + newspaper should do the trick. an exacto knife wouldn't be a bad tool to have either

 

To make it appear satin, is that a finishing technique or a type of paint? Gloss paint on the inside looks too aftermarkety for me.
