Pretty much you need to remove the sensors from the stock seats and put them in the new seats.......to do this you need to remove the seat covers and you will find them........mount them to new seats in same general locations and the airbags will work......if you have the seat side airbag that will not work but it can be placed at the feet area of the back of the new seat so it is out of the way should it go off.....

WOW! That is SO unsafe! If you have the side airbags, you will need to have resistors for the connector, so that you dont get the airbag light.

I dont know about you, but I wouldnt want HIGH EXPLOSIVES just laying around behind my seat like that when it isnt where its engineered to be!

I never have tried, but will be soon. I was just pointing out what HE said there, not about what you were talking about. I didnt want to let people get the idea (the ones with the side air bags) that you can just leave LIVE airbags hooked up and in the back seat.

Good luck with the transfer, and let us know and post pics!

Since you do not have airbag in the seat all that you need to do is transfer the pieces that the wires plug into that are attached to the frame to the new frame tot he same general location and plug them in to the wires coming from floor board.....

Just finished doing seat transfer two weeks ago and no airbag lights and seats know if there is a person too small there as well...........yes putting the airbag behind base of seat is not the best idea.........sorry to offend you equinox.........but you do not need to be rude and call me a loser........if you have a better way to solve the problem then post it so the person can use it.......

I was "rude" because it is extremely unsafe.

Now to bypass all that is needed are resistors, and sadly I don't know the resistance, but I would believe it would be between 2Ohm and 5Ohm, but probably would be closer to 5Ohm.

Thanks for the confirmation, I figured it would be close to 5Ohms and it was actually 5Ohms. Had you replaced the seats in your car?

I have a set of Corbeau in and for the airbag plug i have 2 10ohm wired in parallel to get 5ohms in each plug. No airbag light for a year already.

I also pulled out the black box that is on the driver seat and stuck it on the new seat. The passenger seat sensor I pulled that out and zip tie it to make it seems like someone is sitting in seat all the time.

ok wait...i ahve a problem i put some corbeau cr1s and my light is on.... me and ryphlex did a straight trade for my stocks and thought the reason why my air bag light is on because i have 06 seat belts on mine...does the year matter? or no differences in seat belts...

so i checked again this morning and everything is plugged but on the passenger side theres the big black plug just hanging around with nothing to plug into...and thought thats the reason why my airbag light is on.... where does that plug into??

so the question is...

1. are the 06/07 seat belts different?
2. what does the black plug on the passenger seat plug into..
3 and what are you guys talking about the resistors...
