Will this amp work, Ohm Question
I dont really understand ohms too much so Im turning to you all here in hopes of helping me. Heres what I have on the way.
Speakers:

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-s4mCyPB...2000&I=108637I
Now the speakers are both 2 ohms.
Im not sure which sub I want yet mostly because I dont understand this all completely. I've got two in mind. Here they are:
This is a 4 ohm sub
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-s4mCyPB...&search=10%2E1
And here is a dvc which can be wired to 2 ohms
http://www.infinitysystems.dk/caraudio/product.aspx?ProdId='KAPPA+PERFECT10DVQ'&Ser=KPE&Cat=SUB
Heres the amp:
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-s4mCyPB...20&I=108R5761A
I guess the first question is which sub would work better with the amp to give me the most wattage. And then would wiring the dvc to 2 ohms to the amp and bridging it ( I dont even know if thats possible), would I get somewhere like 80 watts RMS x 4 + 300 watts RMS x 1 from the amp? The amp says it can be bridged in 4 ohms but doesnt mention bridging in 2 ohms.

On the features page, it shows that the minimum bridged impedance (ohm) is 4 but the sub could be wired to 2 ohm, which wouldn't make the amp stable bridged. I would recommend a second amp for the sub and a smaller amp for the speakers. You could get 100 watts x 4 at 2 ohm from an ED Nine.4 and then a Nine.2 to power the sub and it would be cheaper than the Infinity. But it looks you want to be mono in the audio brand so that may not be a solution, but you'll be underpowering the sub.
I kinda do want to stay with the same brand, I just think it looks better. I know its NOT always better. However I was looking at 2 alpine amps cause they were smaller in size, I would like to mount them on the sides of the hatchback out of the way. But together they were like $700. This amp was $400. So I guess if it would make sence, which it seems to be, I could stray from my mono brand.
How is ED I seem to hear a lot about them on this site.

ed is nothing but quality. all their stuff is way cheap (well not cheap but very inexpensive) and very under-rated. there are many people that run their amps with jl subs bc they have more power than the 1000/1 and are cheaper. Best bang for the buck.
^^ best bang for the buck by FAR!!! my next system is going to be all ED... 6500s components up front, NIne.2 on comps, 13Ov.2 sub and Nine.2x on sub... that'll be 200x2 for the comps and 600x1 for the sub... all this (plus enclosure and wiring) is going to run right around $800-$850 and I"ll do my own install....
You can get much less expensive stuff through them. Look at their groupbuy pricing (for forum members only)
