Will changing seats disable the passenger airbag?
I know the passenger seat has a weight sensor, but does this sensor enable/disable the passenger airbag? I have a friend who wants to swap out the stock seats for a set of racing seats, but doesn't want to lose the function of his passenger airbag. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

i kno if you swap out drivers seat, if u want airbag to work u need to swap the sensors onto the racing seat
i believe it would be the same for the passenger seat as well

LOL. The weight sensor doesn't look fun - 4 of them, one on each corner. At least that's what the manual says, then you're supposed to do a seat weight calibration with the factory scan tool? Driver's side position sensor is no problem. I have a set of red/black Celica seats in my kitchen that will make their way into the car at some point... Keepin the old thread alive...
