Default Windows being stubborn / light on button flashing ...

It's kinda weird...
The windows are being stubborn.
On the driver's door, the light on the driver-side window button flashes...
On the passenger door, the light on the window button flashes....
I can't roll the passenger side window up from the driver door,
and for each door, their window button will only work intermittently.

This happened the other day out of nowhere.
All I did was replace my wiring harness for HID lights with a new one, then
it just started happening. The problem went away after a while.

Then just now, after replacing my reverse lights with LED bulbs, the problem came back. I'm hoping that it will just go away again, but I'm confused about why that would just happen, basically out of nowhere. (I say basically because all I did was change a couple bulbs.)

Anyone ever experience this or know WTF??

you disconnected your battery.

you gotta reset the window switches. from the driver side, hold the driver window button down for 5 seconds after it's full down. then that will be set for auto again. do the same but on the passenger side. you have to do it from the passenger side, not the driver side. then do the same for your sunroof.

GAHH!!!!!!
Now the passenger window and sunroof are working, but driver window is being a PITA!!!!!!!

It won't budge.
It will go a few inches, then stop, then nothing, then barely budge and not really move, then nothing.

To reset, do I press the button ALL the way down? (all the way to auto or just half press?)
Do I have to start from the window being fully closed?

After trying to reset the driver's side window another 5 or 6 times, it finally worked... dunno why that one was be so much more difficult.

Thanks again for the help, guys.
I would have searched for info before posting, but I've never heard of having to reset windows before. I assumed there was an actual problem. hehehe

Anytime you disconnect the battery, you will have to reset the windows and sun roof.

I believe the manual states that you should start with the window half-way open and go all the way closed (switch all the way up) and hold it there, as opposed to opening the window. Sounds like this works too, though.

Also, if you never got the sunroof working, it's the same deal, just keep pressing close till it's all the way shut and hold it there for a bit.

Just a idea for your drivers window next time. It happened to me. If you keep trying and trying and trying the motor wears down and won't wanna work which means it will only go down a little then stop. Just give it a couple seconds then go. For future ref.

seriously.... one of these again? dont mean to flame out but... i think everyone who buys a scion should be giving a manual to read and pass a test b4 they're allowed to buy a scion... but yeah i guess you gotta re-intialize the system b4 it goes back to the way it was.
