I need some help please. I am trying to hook up a Varad scanner. I need a wire that is 12 volts when the key is on, and grounded when off. I tried the remote wire that turns on my amp when the stereo is on, but it must not be grounded when off. I have an '06 tC...can someone help me out please? I tried a search, but found nothing.

 

You should be able to do this with a relay. ( 5 terminal SPDT)
