Default Wiring issues...?

So I have a Kenwood 12" hooked up to a Fosgate Amp with the stock speakers and HU. Several problems:

- Usually when I start the tC, the needles in the cluster panel move all the way (coordinated with the initial exhaust rev) then come back down before they goto their respective positions. After several months of having this sub, the needles dont do that anymore. Also, I've had to jump start my battery couple times, and the negative terminal has some corrosion on it (never before). I just replaced the battery not too long before I got the sub, so I doubt its because its old (plus the display says its OK). The guy who wired my system directly connected the positive from the amp (with a fuse on the line) to the positive of the battery. I'm thinking this is the problem, draining the battery everytime I bump.

- I have a Sirius Satellite tuner which also goes out every once in a while. I'm pretty sure this is because of the battery situation.

What do you guys think? Wiring makeover?

yea don't sound like your audio system is a prob

and for your needles not sweeping...they may b on too tight after removing them and replacing them too tightly probably after an led swap or something that required the removal of needles?

the thing with the needles is that they'll sweep every once in a while, so it cant be a matter of being too tight.
