Default Is it worth to keeping the stock seats for future?

I don't know whether it had been already disscused before or not but I couldn't find any.

I bought a new pair of corbeau seats from an athuorized dealer and
the sales person asked me what would u do with stock seats so I said I will keep it.

Then he kinda interested in buying my seats(Rs3 tow-tone alcantcar seats includes driver and passenger)
for his pickup truck, and willing to pay $250 if we made a deal outside of store.
Well I said I will think about it until the seats get delivered.

So..here is my question to whom had been thru already.
I know the parting out is only way to get money back even little bit when do trading or selling a car
so I usually keep my stock parts after I replaced w/ aftermarket parts like rims, hood, avic-d3, intakes, exhaust... just name it.
And I thought it's wise to keeping OEM parts for future.

However, is that really so?
Im beginn to doubting about parting out, in fact, selling parts thru online
isn't easy, even thru scionlife.com. Like :
Too expsensive shipping charge for some parts, even expensiver than a part itself.
No gurranted w/ selling it on decnet price that im seeking or right timing
Some parts like coilover couldn't be uninstalled by me, so I have to go to a shop to do it(it costs money)
+ Not easy to sell a bone stock car becuase it's not really attratable.
And there is more and more..

Im so confused. Im not thinking of selling my car untill 2010, so it's ridiculous of thinking
about this problem now, but i want to know what would u do if u were me.
Let me hear some advise from you. Thanks

Oh by the way this is what Im going to have

modified cars usually have a lower resale value... just food for thought. i keep all my stock parts so i can put them back on when i plan to sell the car in the future

I kept my stock seats so when I sell the car and can put it back to stock. If you are gonna get rid of those seats you should ask for more then $250... those seats are awesome!!

RS3 seats should get more than $250........that is pretty cheap and did you pull out all the sensors out of them and have them installed inthe new seats.......food for thought.

those seats are part of what makes your vehicle... a RS3.0.. special.

i would keep it if you can... it'll also maintain the value of your RS3.0... as those seats are insanely expensive with the alcantara... and being an exclusive part...

(they are NOT worth $250...)

those corbeau seats you getting.... the vx2000's? hmm... leather... i dunno.. :?

hmm.. if you wanted to sell those seats for $250.. shoot... i'll take them off your hands right now.

Ye.. I made up my mind keeping the stock seats for later...Thanks u guys.

By the way the vx2000 that im getting isn't the leather one.. Just standard vinyl seats w/ black and grey colored that matched up with my grey and black two - tone interior.

+ I checked and tested comfortibility + looks every single corbeau seats in person at the dealer(they have'em as samples) and seems to be vx2000 right one for me.. even i was seeking LG1 and A4 too. Im kinda a big guy and the vx is the only one has given perfect comfortability... N'ways. thanks :D

Are you seriously retarded "Sects"? look at the way you type!!!!! Keep your stock seats and take the money you were going to spend on new seats, and enroll in college...trust me it will pay off in the long run. I'm not trying to bash anyone here but I could barely understand half the crap he was saying in his post. PROOF READ before you post!

It's a computer and a thread/forum on Scions, not on English.

And if you would like to talk about proof reading, I'd look at your post before you bash others. You are missing a few punctuations and capitalizations.

Heck, I think you had more errors than he did!
