Default Xbox Controller Cord Length

I have my xbox installed in the trunk in my tC.. The regular cords weren't long enough to run into the glove box and then still have enough room for the controller to reach to the driver's seat.

So I purchased these cord extensions for the controllers a few months ago. Well, I got to run the cords a few weeks ago and they're still BARELY long enough.. I can play from the driver's seat but I don't have much slack in the cord at all. I kind of have to sit leaning towards the center of the car.

Did anyone else run into this problem with an xbox or a PS2? And does anyone think wireless controllers would help at all? I'm worried that the wireless controllers wouldn't be able to read the signal since the xbox is in the trunk and I'm facing the opposite direction.

The way the cord extensions are setup, I don't think I could add another one.

My friend put an xbox in the trunk of his IS300 and he uses wireless controllers and they work fine.

Sweet. I might have to buy some of those tonight. I just figured that you would have to aim the controller in the direction on the "eye"

You should not have any problems with wireless controllers except every once in a blue moon they will act up and need to be reset, but no problem try to pause the game and hit the reset button on the "eye" as you called it that plugs into the ebox itself.

I have both wireless box controllers and ps2 controller in my room and they are my consoles are in a draw that is normally closed when I play and they work fine. Haven't tried them in my car yet because I still have not found a good way to stealth install my box in my tc.
