to start off, i dont know too much about in-car stereo/video stuff. with that said...

i was looking to hook up my zune to my car to replace annoying cds and decided to go one step further by replacing my HU with a lcd screen. What do i need to get this done? Im not looking to get a dvd player with lcd because those are pretty expensive. I figured I could get a lcd monitor, like one for a headrest, and fit it in place of my stereo, and hook up my zune to it through av cables. but then again Im not sure how to hardwire the zune to my car since I wont have a stereo. i dont even know if this is possible. What will i need to make this work?

maybe im better off without the lcd and should just install the P.I.E aux adapter with my stock hu.

You'll need a stereo for a source unit to power ur speakers. Then you'll need the hookup for rca w/ video to mini jack and plug the red and white(audio) rca's into the aux input onthe radio and then the yellow(video) rca into the monitor. Then with the zune you go to:
settings
display
tv out: (click on that and turn to on)
and youll have output from the zune.
