Default $40,000 tC on eBay!!!

What the hell are they thinking? I mean, yeah. It has stuff done to it. But it's just a tC. No tC is worth $40k IMO. Check it out...

Default No WAY!!

Theres no way they will get 40000 for that car. I dont care how much work was done to it. I could maybe see 28,000 - 32,000. But thats all I could ever see them getting.

There is no way that car is worth 40k, even if there is that much into it. Looks like everything was well done though.

Well it is a double edged sward here guys... They probably have honestly close to $35-40 in the car with labor... But will they ever get that..? Well there is one of those people born every day. The car cannot be financed under most banks / credit unions so it would have to be the right customer. That car does have a very nice selection of parts chosen, no moron or ricer could or would select what has been done to that car. Very clean.

Now in my own tc, I have close to $40K into it including the price of the car. Would I EVER get that? No freaking way. Only way I could sell her off is to part her out and put her back to stock for the most part. It is crazy how fast things add up on a vehicle when building a show car.

I read somewhere a while back that this car:

Cost about $140,000 to build, including the price of the car. Is that expensive for a Toyota, most would say yes.

Is it a bargain Ferrari killer with an entertainment center built in... F*CH YEAH!
(A 2JZGTE with a T66 will EASILY rape a 355 without even trying).

It's a nice car, love the paintjob (saw that same style in red on a mustang show car the other day actually) and yeah, there probably is 40,000 into that car (maybe even a bit more) with all the work that's been done to it. Fiberglass work, custom molded center, all the wiring, the parts, the paint, etc. Will they get that? Yeah, someone will probably buy it, eventually.

Remember though, most people on SL are the types who'd rather do their own work on their own car. The person that buys that may have just a lot of money and no real incentive to plan out, execute and wait all the time/effort it takes to get such a ride. Would I do it? Hell no, I want my baby done my way for better or worse.

Also, I'm sure some of you guys have watched Pimp My Ride. Now many of those cars are the biggest money pits out there. You have clunkers that's barely worth $100 and they're pouring in at times over $40,000 worth of stuff and man labor.

It's a money waster, but it's pretty entertaining. Besides, it's still cheaper to build a car to have a show, than it is to fork up $1,000,000 to have a cast member from Friends to appear for a couple of minutes.

I actually like how the subs are setup.. It must hit so freakin' hard..

However, I don't even think this guy could get $30k for it.

For $25k it would probably sell in a month or so.

Think about the look on the face of the guy who buys this and signs on to SL to see his "Pride" being talked about.
