Default $8k - What To Do?

Hey everyone. By July I hope to have $8k lying around. Don't know what I should do with it. I think I'll get the TRD Supercharger ($3,200) and the rest I'll just keep in the bank and let that grow for the future incase Toyota decides to bring back the Supra.

Opinions ENCOURAGED!

With the SC, get the FMIC(which should be available by then) with the soon available intake, and a full exhaust...might as well go all ZPI with it...lol...just an idea.

y'all are already being forced to give to victims though taxes, and most of that money is being stolen by out of state contractors and others anyway. The Salvation Army and Red Cross are pretty OK though. Yes, I'm a victim, I just got back into New Orleans four weeks ago. What a freakin' mess, worse than anything you can imagine.

My opinion? Go for the SUPERCHARGER!!!!! Enjoy stuff when you can, cause sometimes it just all goes to sh*t. We'll get along fine down here, eventually. Thanks for the sentiment.

Default Land of OZ - Dorothy and Toto

What a dreamer, still in the land of OZ with $8k - that is just a start.
Power is addictive and never enough. Enough is when your life is on the line at 200+ mph. Everything thing else is just fun money and showing off to your lil' homies. I would love to have a Stage 3 ZPI turbo for my car, but needs many accesories and mods to work properly - translation is $10k total plus a good mechanic for monthly tuning.
Just my 2 cents.
Oh yeah and let's not forget another $5k in upgrades to plant the tires on the ground without breaking and twisting the frame.
$8k - just a down payment!

$8k toward the first 10-20% of a investment property (real estate). The dirt buildings sit on does not depreciate.

I'd put half towards my loan principle, then spend the rest on upgrading the car.

Definitely, don't waste your $8k on a car, spend $500 on a 75 shot NOS kit and put the rest into real estate. Five years ago I put $15k in a 91 Mustang and if I could do it again, I would have put a dp on a condo. Here in Miami real estate has nearly tripled in the last 6 years. My hats off to the RE guys!!

Real Estate. Rental property. Heck a 12 month CD is better than blowing it on a car. Maybe a little for some wheels or something to personalize your ride. There is nothing wrong with that. I now have four rentals and the income is almost $26K a year. It more than makes my house payment. Your car is short term. You will long out live it and probably your ability to work. Better start preparing now. You will see that if you are pretty smart with money for a few (5-10) years you will develope a habit that will give you that 8 grand laying around all the time, and more.

If you are really going to have and spend 8k on your tC. I would go all motor and get high compression piston heads, P&P your head, Valve job, CLutch, flywheel, I/H/E, MOtormounts, lightweight Wheels, sticky tires, BBK, Some NA Cams, LSD. Fuel management & Tuning. Get that new sleeved block by Golden Eagle and bore it out to 95 mm..

I dunno with that done you will probably be around 250 whp maybe more.

And it would sound like a beast, probably make FI guys blow a gasket or something

Sssssccccaaaarryyyy........
