Man, I can't remember which section it's in. I just asked where I can find some weather stripping, and they point me in the right direction...

Maybe you need to take off your panel that's under the hatch when you open it. I've heard of the plastic wiring protectors making noise, so you could wrap that in some foam or something.

interesting.

Mine seems to be coming from the back of the sunroof, and the rear moonroof. When I go over uneven roads, it creaks. I hate it. I will be seeing if the dealer can fix it when it goes in for inspection this month.

Yeah, so the dealership said I have a bad grip handle, they special ordered it, so I have to go back whenever it comes in.

Bad grip handle? Can you describe where this part is located?

Are we talking about what everyone collectively calls the "Oh **** Handles"? If so, and the dealer try to tell you that there is where your rattle is coming from, I would tell them they are full of it, and just trying to get out of the warranty work. Those in all the reports have NEVER been known to make rattle noise.

the rattle is most likely in the roof assembly. I would look closely at the arms that open the deflector.. they have plenty of room to rattle in some circumstances. mash a glob of lithium grease down in the pivots and see if your rattle dissapears.

So you guys are saying that there's no way the grip handles are the cause of my rattle?

Thinking about it, it is kind of weird. It seems like the rattle is further back, not right over my head (in both instances of driving/being the passenger). But then again, how far do they screw into the car? Are the screws visable underneath the sunroof?

the grip handles don't screw in at all. They are held in with two clips. That is all.

My rattle is on the passenger side, at the back of the sunroof. Sounds like someone is tapping on the glass with a piece of wood. weird.
