Aight.. I got a damn rattle under my hood. I'm almost at 55,000 miles on my tC, and I hear a rattle coming from my engine bay. Now.. I am a bit over due on my oil change, and I also have the Megan Racing Head, I'm trying and hoping that its nothing serious. When I accelerate its this constant and consistant rattle, and it stops when I let off the petal.

What do some of you mechanics out there think it could be?

I'd say it's your heatshield rattling, but you don't have one. maybe the tensioner or something..happened on my corolla

 

I was wondering after all these miles the pre-cat finally blew. I think I'll go ahead and get all greasy and take the ____ apart and see if that could be it. I hate to do all this and that not be it though.

 

Anyone else think they may know? Thanks in advance.
