06-07 tC 4-door RS rumor?
according to the dealer I go to, he says that the 06 or 07 RS of the tC may have 4 doors?
a leather interior and
a GPS navigation system.
I can defiately see the nav system and leather being true (since they can easily port the nav over from the camry).. but I'm really curious about the 4 doors.
Anyhow not quite sure how true this is... but he's been pretty accurate on the other stuff he's told me. I'm wondering if anyone has heard anything similiar.

I really doubt it... that's why they have a camry for... or else it'll compete w/ the camry and that's no good for Toyota... they're smarter than that..
Plus, to do a 4 door, they have to change the whole body of the car...

Sounds like he's full of crap and is just spouting off BS.
Many dealers already offer a leather option with the other models (depends on region) and I don't see the NAV being in a the price range of the Scion target - even for an RS. It's not a Lexus...

Not really. Don't forget that the tC originated from the Avensis platform.
it wouldn't compete with the camry if its an RS and therefore only having a limitedf production run. The only thing I can see it not being 4-door is the production issue. It wouldn't make sense for toyota to specially create the 4-door body just for a RS.
However. if the avenis body fits, they could just import the body for the RS, or the other theory is the 4-door body may be part of the tC redesign in 2008 (which is why it might be an '07 RS).

I think he was confusing the 2...
We're overthinking this a bit.
Scion/Toyota would never make a 4-door "tC"
here's why
tC = Touring Coupe
A coupe (or coup ) is a two or four-seater car with a fixed roof and two doors. The style is generally used for sportier models in a manufacturer's range. In the 19th century, a coup was a carriage with two doors enclosing seating for two with an exposed area on the front for a driver.

So, technically, if they make a 4-door version, it won't be a tC but possibly a tS (Sedan) .. heh .. problem solved

I dont think it will be a 4dr tC. it doesn't make much sense imo.
I think it would be cool to have the supercharger standard, a new wing/gound effects package (maybe a fancy hood too!) and be BLACK or even a color similar to to the special orange that the new eclipes comes in......

I wouldn't see a problem if they only made the RS 4doors since they're only gonna be made in limited numbers.. shouldn't take away from the Camry's thunder.. but is it just me or does the t2b look like a freakin Barbie playset the way the doors open up like that
