'06 New Colors/IPOD HU/Steering Wheel pics from scion.com
since it seems a bunch of people are having problems with scion.com and its updates i took a few mins to crop off a pic of each of the 2 new colors, the headunit with and without the IPOD capability, and the new steering wheel....
If the pics aren't coming up right click on the image and click "View Image"
nautical blue
silver metallic
with IPOD capability - 3 dials, middle is SSP
without IPOD capability - 1 dial
steering wheel controls

Here is the text for the IPOD capability... the text for the HU w/o the capability is the same except the last paragraph isn't included:
iPod Capability $260
For your listening pleasure, we've installed in every tC this 160 watt maximum power Pioneer Stereo with 6 speakers (including 2 tweeters), a 10 color change display, built in Digital Sound Processing (DSP) Sound Equalization, Scion Sound Processing (SSP), satellite radio controls, a MP3 reader with file text display (that's up to 10 hours of playback on one disc) and a universal connector for your MP3 player (you must use your MP3 player’s interface to navigate and play your collection).
Our SSP is a digital sound processing feature that offers three settings: SSP Neutral keeps the music in the background. SSP Hear enhances the sounds with crisp highs and lows. SSP Feel goes all the way, utilizing a sound curve that lets passengers not only hear the music, but feel it, too.
In addition, Pioneer has developed a receiver that easily connects to and navigates through your **iPod. In addition to the standard AM/FM/CD capabilities, this new accessory allows you to safely browse your collection of MP3s without using the iPod interface – just plug it in and let the receiver do the rest. This deck is also compatible with all other MP3 players.

To me, those two colors look even better than the ones they replaced. Maybe its just these images.
I'll have to wait until I see them in person, or someone posts their own images outdoors in sunlight and shade.

wow. universal connector with any other mp3 player. I kinda doubt that, how can there be a universal connecter for any mp3. They should just keep it IPOD. oh and that $260, does that mean thats how much the HU will cost? Or thats an addiontal price?

and based on the press release and the new pics, it looks like the $260 gives you the new HU and also includes the ipod connection.
what i want to see is a pic of where these connections are going and what it looks like...
