Default 07 tC New Battery Problem

Hey guys, I searched around for a while but I couldnt really find any good answers for this question, so I was hoping you could help me out or point me to a thread that can help me.

I replaced my battery today and since then, my car shakes like its going to stall out when it idles. When I accellerate, it is smooth and drives just fine. Ive seen some other threads that say the computer inside the car needs to relearn some of the information that it would have lost with the exit of the original battery.

Is this something I will need to take into toyota to get fixed or will it eventually work itself out?

Thanks

it will work itself out . Problem should gone within a week.
Same thing happen to my dad's 2002 camry. I replaced its battery last month. The engine was idling very rough the first few days.

you should let the car idle for about 10 mins or so after replacing the battery, cause i know when i disconnect or replace my battery, within 30 secs the computer resets itself,so that means the computer has to relearn everything, first start up the idle is very rough, its like thats i say for about a min or so,it returns back to normal, but if the idle is rough i wouldnt drive it,just reset the ECU again for 10 mins, then start the car and let it idle for another 10 mins so this way the computer relearns everything again

A car should not be close to "stalling out" after a battery install. You may have a deeper problem. Even if the other answers are what you "wanted to hear", I wouldn't rely on them AT ALL.

I would pull the negative with the headlights on to completely drain all the caps in anything in the car... turn off the headlights and reconnect. they usually run a bit rough while the ECU relearns things.... It shouldn't be almost stalling but it will be a bit different for a day or two.
