The beeping is driving me crazy when i don't have my seatbelt on for short distances. I saw that there are two plugs underneath the drivers seat. My question is when i unplug the smaller plug the beeping doesn't come up nor does it appear on the dash. So the question is if i get into a car accident will the air bag deploy or is me unhooking that little plug negating that too

The airbags will not deploy, dangerous. But their is a trick to turn off the beeping. I did that because I do a lot of driving right down the street with no traffic. Be ready for some flaming, I am just trying to be helpfull. I believe the thing to turn off the beep is to put the odo in the odo mode, then turn the key to the on position after 6 seconds hold the trip for 10 sec. then plug in seat belt and the odo will say beep off. just hit the trip to cycle on and off.

A) You should ALWAYS wear your seat belt... even for "short distances." If you choose not to, it's your life, do what you want with it.

And I'm going to lock this... nothing against you... but we don't need 50 more replies telling you to wear your seatbelt. I said it, and if you still choose not to wear it, that's your thing. These threads never go well and wouldn't really affect your choice to wear it or not anyway.
